Faculty of Transportation Engineering
was founded on June 15th, 2000. This was the merger of Automobile
Engineering Department, Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering
Department and Aeronautical Engineering Department. There are 44 staff
members in the Faculty. Among them, 39 are teaching staff, including 3
Associate Professors, 5 Doctors and 17 Masters.
Training objective of the Faculty is to provide undergraduate and
post-graduate students with solid knowledge and professional skills in
relevant engineering branches in order to meet increasingly high
requirements of diverse activities of research, design, manufacture and
exploitation of transportation vehicles.
Besides training activities, faculty members actively participate in
scientific researches and technology transfers related to research,
design and production of automobiles, ships, aircrafts and combustion
engines. Other activities are also taking place such as reduction of
transportation pollution, quality assessment of automobiles and ships,
modifications of transportation vehicles to be suitable for operating
conditions in Vietnam and planning for land, sea and air transportation,
especially urban transportation.
